Birthday cake

My dad used to play pac man all the time when he was younger. I made him these cupcakes for his birthday
I got another cake request! Woo Hoo! She just said to make it girly for her little girls birthday

This is what I came up with

My little home doesn't have much counter space and making a cake is messy business!
I need to hire a dishwasher ;)

School

I made these  for Valentines day

 They were so yummy!

I took a cake class at Roberts Craft store. Here is what I learned:

When I was going to the Art Institute I had to do a presentation on my future business. I made them like me with delicious cupcakes :)

Cake for my friends :)

this is my friend Natalie, She is a U.S. Marine so I made her a military-ish cake

I put army guys on it...

Bad move...

I know this isn't a cake but it was in place of a birthday cake. My friend can't have glucose thus no cake. How sad!

This was my first ever requested cake! If you cut the layers up like this
and put them together like this, when you cut it open it looks like a checker board. Neat!
I didn't get to see it tho because it wasn't for me to eat. It was for my friend Israel (Gato is his nickname) he thought the first cake i did that said 'bite me" on it was funny

The cat was too tall for the cake box

My friend Melissa loves frogs so I made her a froggy cake

This reminds me of angry birds for some reason

The finished product
wounded frog

Mini cakes

I got in some more practice. The yellow cake and the purple cake are only a couple of inches tall. They are made out of cake scraps that I cut off the bigger cakes. They are so cute and perfect if you're just making it for one person.

Farewell sister missionary!

My friend was going home from her mission here in Utah so I made her a little goodbye cake. What could be more fitting then scriptures :)

Melting Mario

Here is cake attempt number two. He started out okay but I was still experimenting with how to make fondant and whatever I did it did NOT work! Mario kept melting if I didn't keep him in the fridge. I even put skewers in him to hold him up but instead he developed worse and worse posture every minute.  When I got to my mom's house for my little brothers birthday they thought I made a Mario devil because the two skewers were sticking out of his head! My little brother still liked it tho :)

My first cake

This is the first cake I ever made. I had never used fondant before and didn't know that you have to support the layer underneath so it doesn't get smashed. I was trying to make a wonky cake ( the kind that are crooked and look like they are going to tip over) but instead it just looks like a mess :/ Anyways it was too ugly to keep so I peeled off the fondant and ate it. It was yummy!
